Owner and member: who can do what
A workspace has one owner, who runs the plan and the team. Members work on every artist, page and campaign.
Every workspace has one owner: the person whose account it belongs to. Everyone the owner invites is a member. You are the owner of your own workspace and a member of every team you join.
| Action | Who can |
|---|---|
| Work on artists, SmartLinks, pre-saves, Promote and follows | Owner and members |
| Choose the plan, pay, see invoices | Owner only |
| Invite people, cancel invites, remove members | Owner only |
| Rename the workspace | Owner only |
| Leave the workspace | Members only |
What a member sees
In a team workspace, Settings → Subscription names the owner and the workspace plan, with no checkout. Ask the owner about the plan, invoices or more seats (see Billing when you are a team member). To pay for your own workspace, select Switch to and its name on the same page. Settings → Team shows the members and who owns the workspace.
API tokens
API tokens come with the Label plan. In a Label workspace, the owner and every member can make tokens in Settings → API (see Create and revoke a token). A token works only for the workspace you had open when you made it, and it stops when you leave that workspace or the owner removes you.
When an account is deleted
- When the owner deletes their account, their workspace and its data are deleted. Members lose access to it and keep their own workspaces.
- When a member deletes their account, their own workspace is deleted and they leave every team. The team workspaces and their data stay as they are. A member who joined before Music24 had workspaces asks the owner to remove them first (see Leave a workspace or remove a member).
Questions
Can a workspace have two owners?
No. Each workspace has one owner. Members cannot be made owners.
Why does Music24 say "Only the workspace owner can do this."?
You are a member of the workspace you have open, and the action belongs to the owner. Ask the owner, or switch to your own workspace.
