Build a page with blocks
A SmartLink page is a stack of blocks: players, links, images, text and a pre-save countdown. Add them in the editor and publish to update the live page.
Every SmartLink page is built from blocks. The editor shows your page next to the list of its blocks, so you see each change as you make it.
Add a block
- Open Promote → Smartlinks and click the page.
- Click Edit page.
- Click Add block. The Add a block window opens.
- Pick a block, fill it in and save it. It shows in the preview at once.
The blocks
The Add a block window sorts them into four groups: Music, Actions, Content and Identity.
| Block | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Player | A preview fans can play in place. |
| Pre-save | A countdown fans sign up to before the release. One per page. |
| Link | One labelled destination. |
| Social media | A row of your profile links. |
| Image | Full-width artwork or a photo. |
| Profile | Your name, photo and bio. |
| Text | A heading or a paragraph. |
Work in the editor
- Move blocks up and down in the Blocks list. Fans see them in that order.
- Pick the look of the page under Theme.
- Switch between Mobile preview and Desktop preview to check both sizes.
When your changes go live
Your edits are saved to the draft of the page. A page that is already live keeps showing the published version until you publish again. Music24 then confirms Changes published. See Publish, share and embed a page.
Questions
Why do my edits not show on the live page?
Edits stay in the draft until you publish the page again. Then the live page shows them.
Can one page have two pre-save blocks?
No. A page holds one pre-save campaign, so the Pre-save block leaves the list once the page has one. Make a second page for a second release.
