Follow artists, tracks and playlists
Follow an artist, a track or a playlist to put it on your watchlist. Each plan sets how many artists and tracks a workspace can follow.
A follow puts an artist, a track or a playlist on your watchlist. It then shows on Home and Markets, and in your digests and alerts.
Follow and unfollow
- Open an artist, track or playlist page. Use Browse, a ranking, or the search field of a list on Home.
- Click Follow. The button changes to Following.
- To stop, click the button again. On artist and track pages it reads Unfollow when you point at it.
On Home, pick a result in the search field of the Playlists, Tracks or Artists list. It is followed at once.
How many you can follow
Artists and tracks have a limit per plan. Playlists have the same limit on every plan: 50.
| Plan | Artists | Tracks | Playlists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 5 | 50 |
| The 7-day trial | 25 | 250 | 50 |
| Artist | 5 | 50 | 50 |
| Manager | 25 | 250 | 50 |
| Label | 100 | 1,000 | 50 |
When you reach the limit
The app refuses the new follow and names the count, for example "Artist follow limit exceeded (5/5). Please upgrade your plan to follow more artists." For playlists it says "Playlist follow limit exceeded (50). Please unfollow some playlists first."
Unfollow something you no longer need, or move to a plan with a higher limit. Compare the plans on the pricing page.
Questions
What happens to my follows when my trial ends?
They stay. If you follow more than Free allows, you cannot add a new follow until you are under the limit of 1 artist and 5 tracks.
Does a follow use a browse credit?
No. And once your workspace follows an artist or a track, its page opens free for every member.
Can a Label workspace follow more playlists?
No. Every plan, the trial included, can follow 50 playlists per workspace.
